Dimitrios Linos

Dr. Dimitrios Linos is Professor of Surgery at the Athens Medical School of the National & Kapodistrian University and the Director of the 5th Surgical Clinic at “Evgenideio Hospital”, Athens, Greece. He was trained at the Mayo Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital. He served as Staff Surgeon and Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve, Cleveland. His Academic work covers most aspects of General Surgery. His main interest is in the field of Endocrine Surgery where he has contributed extensively. His two textbooks on "The Adrenal Glands" and "Minimally Invasive Thyroidectomy" published by Springer in 2005 and 2012 respectively, along with Chapters in textbooks and several significant peer reviews publications have established him as one of the Leaders in Endocrine Surgery worldwide.Professor Linos currently serves as Governor of the Greek Chapter of American College of Surgeons and President of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of JAMA Surgery.
